In 2016, the Generator Hostel in Dublin, famous international design hostels, decides to open a home in the center of Rome.

The renovation involved the seven floors of the palace, renewing the classic interior style with a a design that is both contemporary and eccentric.

Italian Contribution to the project

Wood & Design has been involved in the furnishing of the furniture of three main areas of the structure:

  • Reception, for contemporary and minimalistic welcome;
  • The bar area for an oriental chic drink;
  • The counter and banqueting area of the dining area for an industrial-style breakfast.

The whole project has an unmistakable style, strongly desired by both the contractor and the final customer, declined in every finishing.

The meticulous choice of materials and their particular workmanship have represented a real challenge.

Wood & Design's production team has strategically managed the project by joining experience and design in favor of both the demands of an international style of the chain and those of one Italian style that has to be assigned to Rome.

Several prototypes and samples are realized to define in the smallest details both the materials and the finishes of each single furnishing, which we can see full version in the center of the eternal city.
